Tiger Woods Speaks Out And Took The Blame of His Car Crash on His Website

WINDERMERE, Fla. - Tiger Woods made his first comments on his early morning car crash- but not to police. Woods canceled yet another meeting with state troopers but, for the first time, talked about his car crash on his Web site. The world's top-ranked golfer says the accident was entirely his fault, that his wife acted courageously and that he wishes remaining details stay private.

The statement was posted about an hour before troopers were to meet with the world's No. 1 golfer at his home inside his gated Florida community. A meeting was not rescheduled.

Mark Steinberg, Woods' agent at IMG, says in an e-mail that Woods has been informed by the Florida Highway Patrol that further disucssion with the golfer and his wife is both "voluntary and optional." Steinberg says Woods "simply has nothing more to add and wishes to protect the privacy of his family."
