2nd Test: India vs. SA - - SA Wins The Toss and Elected to Bat in Deciding Test Against India

South Africa wins the toss and decides to bat first in the second deciding test match between India and South Africa at the Eden Gardens.

Earlier in the day, the Proteas are seen gathered in the middle of the field applauding.

They are cheering as Graeme Smith gives right-hand opening batsman Alviro Petersen his first test cap.

Wicket keeper Mark Boucher, who has suffered from back spasms in the last game, did not pass the fitness test this morning. A B de Villiers will be keeping in his place.

Petersen,29, has played 10 one-day matches, averaging 48.85.

Earlier in the day, Graeme Smith passed the fitness test.
