New Zealand golfers Cecilia Cho and Ben Campbell have advanced to the quarterfinals at the Australian amateur championships in Perth.
Aucklander Cho, who won the strokeplay honours last weekend, had a tough fight to dispose of Perth's Angie Yang 2 and 1 after the players returned to the course today after weather forced a suspension to play yesterday at Lake Karrinyup Country Club.
Cho went ahead early and held her narrow advantage to edge her way through to the quarterfinals where she will meet Tasmania's Ashlee Dewhurst.
Campbell, of Masterton, had this morning off after he won his second round match 5 and 4 over Brody Ninyette, of Western Australia, yesterday.
He will meet Victorian Kieran Pratt in the quarterfinals.
Tauranga's Andrew Stewart bowed out when he was beaten by Taiwan's Chen Yao Hung 5 and 4.
