Jose Mourinho to Deal With Spanish Giants Real Madrid for Massive £40 Million - - Setback For Champions League Winners Inter Milan

Jose Mourinho’s Champions League triumph will earn him a massive £40million deal to manage Real Madrid.

And the Spanish giants are so confident that Portuguese genius Mourinho — whose Inter Milan were crowned as European champions in Madrid on Saturday night — is the right man to take charge at the Bernabeu that they will hand him a four-year contract worth £10million a year — twice as long as the normal deal for a Real manager.

Manuel Pellegrini’s reign in Madrid is expected to come to an end today — 12 months into a two-year deal. Mourinho will then be appointed — possibly as early as today — and he will be charged with the responsibility of winning the Champions League again next season.

Mourinho's agent, Jorge Mendez, is understood to have finalized the deal last Friday and now Inter's compensation package is all that needs to be completed after the former Chelsea boss all but confirmed he was ready to swap Milan for Madrid.

When asked if he had coached Inter for the last time on Saturday night Mourinho replied: “Yes, I have.”

He was then asked if he was set to join Madrid, to which he responded: “Yes.”

He went on to say: “I want another challenge in my career.

“I want to become the only coach to win the Champions League with three different clubs.

“Everybody knows that English football is my passion and I'll go back to England, but I think every player, every coach if you don't play for Real Madrid or if you don't coach Real Madrid you have always a little space in your career.

“So if I decide to come to Real Madrid I'll be a very proud man.”
