India Tours South Africa 2010-11 - - India Announced Squad for ODI Series Against South Africa, Sachin Tendulkar Marking His Comeback

India announced a full-strength squad for the one-day international series against South Africa and little master, Sachin Tendulkar, is ready to make a comeback to one-day cricket after almost 10 months.

The 37-year-old Indian Batting icon, who achieved historical landmark of 50 Test centuries in the 1st Test of ongoing series, played his last ODI for India in February against the same opposition in Gwalior, India.

As Scahin Tendulkar is a part of initial squad announced for ICC World Cup 2011; therefore, Indian selectors want to give all the chances to their star batsman to come into rhythm before the mega event. The current series is India's last international limited-overs assignment before the 2011 World Cup begins in February on the sub-continent so it will be quite handy for little master to catch up his confidence.

Leg-spinner Piyush Chawla has been recalled to the 16-man squad, having last played an ODI in 2008.
All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been left out of the team but Yusuf Pathan, who impressed during the 5-0 home series triumph over New Zealand, has retained his place.

India will play five one-day matches in South Africa starting from January 12 and their only Twenty20 match is scheduled for January 9.

India squad: Mahendra Singh Dhoni (captain), Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, Ashish Nehra, Praveen Kumar, Munaf Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Yusuf Pathan, Piyush Chawla, Sreesanth.
