Australia v England 4th ODI, Adelaide (Final Update): England Won The Match by 21 Runs, Trott Shines With The Bat

England managed to save the series for now as they won the 4th ODI by 21 runs. Australia leading the series by 3-1.



In reply of England's 299 Australia managed to make 278 for the loss of seven wickets. Brett Lee and Steven Smith were unbeaten on 49 and 30 respectively but couldn't do better to lead Australia a decisive lead in the series.

Earlier England batted superbly in between the tough periods; but managed to set a huge target for Kangaroos. Jonathan Trott brilliant century and Matt Prior 67 were the highlights of England innings. Both shared third wicket partnership of 113 runs. In the late order Collingwood made 27 and Yardy unbeaten 39.

Jonathan Trott was named man of the match for his brilliant knock of 102. He also claimed two wickets.

steven smith was actually unbeaten on 46 and lee on 39....just a correction
