Late on Monday afternoon the news gone viral on Twitter that Irina Shayk, 25-year old Russain, will be cover model for 2011 Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition; but it was not 100% confirmed until it was announced Monday night on "The Late Show with David Letterman."
There were 10 top models in the race but no body knew until the last minute who the cover would be. Irina Shayk, girlfriend of international soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo, said after being excited to hear the news.
Reportedly, Irina Shayk (whose real last name is Shaykhlislamova) has been dating the Portuguese soccer star, Cristiano Ronaldo, since last spring. The two are claimed to have met while working on a photo shoot for Armani Exchange.
