JOHANNESBURG - Following a vote of no-confidence in a Special General Meeting on Saturday; Mtutuzeli Nyoka, President Cricket South Arica, has been terminated over the issues of bonuses paid to CSA staff members for the conduct of the 2009 IPL. He had big conflicts with with CEO Gerald Majola on this matter.
Even sports minister Fikile Mbalula's intervention could not cool down the tensions between Nyoka and Majola. AK Khan, CSA vice-president, has been nominated as the acting-president until the elections in August at the Annual General Meeting.
Nyoka demanded for an external probe into the issue of bonus payments but the CSA board selected for an internal investigation at the end of which CEO Gerald Majola came out cleared of any unlawful activity.
