New York Knicks’ organization fined by NBA for $200,000

New York Knicks’ organization fined for $200,000 by NBA, on Thursday due to holding inappropriate pre-draft workouts.

Further, Rodney Heard, the Knicks scout who conducted the workout in May of 2007 and 2010, was also fined $20,000 by the NBA.

Rodney Heard, hired by Isiah Thomas, arranged these workouts in Atlanta before annual pre-draft evaluation camp by NBA. He held multiple workouts with Wilson Chandler, which may have led to the Knicks drafting Chandler with the 23rd overall selection in the 2007 draft.
