Real Madrid Vs. Marseille - - Guti Appreciated Cristiano Ronaldo After 3-0 Victory Over Marseille

Real Madrid midfielder Guti has described having Cristiano Ronaldo in the team as a "relief" after the Portuguese winger produced a sparkling display to unlock the Marseille defence in a 3-0 home win for Los Blancos in the UEFA Champions League.

Ronaldo scored Madrid's first shortly after the break before winning a penalty which Kaka converted and then he capped the victory with another goal, bringing his season tally to nine in just seven games.

"We knew it would be tough and in he end had to wait until the second half to score. He [Ronaldo] can do anything, score any type of goal. It is a relief to have him in our side because in tough games he can open the scoring," Guti said, as quoted by AS.


The veteran Madrid midfielder also spoke of the surprise defeat suffered by Milan against FC Zurich at the San Siro and said his side can now look to qualify early by beating AC home and away.

"Lately they are not playing well and showing confidence. Zurich is a good team that plays well and we knew that they were going to surprise someone. Now we have the double confrontation with them [Milan] and hopefully we can qualify first as soon as possible and then rest some players," Guti added.
