COLOMBO, Sri Lanka - The brutal left-hander Chris Gayle smashed a blistering unbeaten 75 off just 41 balls and played a key role in a crushing 74-run victory over a listless Australia at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Friday. Gayle hit five fours and half a dozen of towering sixes as West Indies made a mockery of Aussie attack.

Gayle not only performed with the bat, but also amused his team mates and cricket fans with his unique "Gangnam Style" dance after his team reaches in maiden final of ICC World Twenty20 the other night, beating mighty Australian by a huge margin.

Throughout the ongoing tournament Gayle has been doing his own version of a wacky dance from worldwide sensation for South Korean musician Park Jae-Sang.

Last night Gayle used it to celebrate in his own unique style.

“It just happens, to be honest, it wasn't really planned,” Gayle said after last night’s victory.

“That's me, it depends what type of mood I'm in. I'll just do something crazy and it's a good dance, everyone enjoys it.”

Pakistan comprehensively won the only Twenty20 International against Bangladesh

DHAKA, Bangladesh – Despite a moderate total posted by Pakistan the visitors absolutely outclassed the hosts Bangladesh to win the only Twenty20 International (T20I) by a huge margin of 50 runs.

Superb bowling by Pakistani spinners and a good supportive role from pacers and fielder led them to a morale booster victory in the opener of the Bangladesh tour, consisting of three ODI’s and two Test matches. Bangladesh just managed to 85/9 falling short of 51 runs of the target of 136.

Nasir Hossain was the only batsman who resisted till the end after coming to bat when Bangladesh was struggling at 23/5. The youngster scored unbeaten 35 runs off 38 balls hitting 2 boundaries and a massive six in last over of their innings. The only other batsman who entered in to double figure score was skipper Musfiqur Rahim (10).

Aizaz Cheema sparkled as Pakistan outclassed Sri Lanka to win the single T20I by 5 wickets

ABU DHABI, UAE (Nov. 26) – Young Pakistani pacer Aizaz Cheema sparkled as Pakistan finishes the series against Sri Lanka in a great style winning the only Twenty20 International by 5 wickets after a nail-biting fight today (Fri-Sat, Nov. 25-26) here at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium Abu Dhabi.

Batting first after winning the toss and opting to bat first Sri Lanka got a flying start courtesy to some blazing batting by skipper Tillakaratne Dilshan (28) and Upul Tharanga (12). At one stage Sri Lanka was poised to post a huge total around 180 when they were 87/3 in 9.2 overs. But they lost their way afterwards due to some superb bowling by Pakistani bowlers and all the team sent back to pavilion on just 141.

Dinesh Chandimal played a sparkling knock of 56 runs off 4 balls. Pakistan’s right-arm medium pacer Aizaz Cheema claimed four wickets and three of them were in a single over when he picked up Dinesh Chandimal, Thissara Perera, and Lasith Malinga in 19th over. Umar Gul bagged the last two wickets in final over of Sri Lanka innings and Sri Lanka out for 141 with 3 balls to spare. Saeed Ajmal and Muhammad Hafeez also shared apiece each.

Sialkot Stallions Become the National Twety20 Champions Sixth Time

KARACHI, Pakistan (Oct. 02) – Final of the Faysal Bank Twenty20 (FBT20) cup was just finished and a real thriller ended with the victory of Sialkot Stallions as they beat defending champions Rawalpindi Rams with 10 runs today here on National Stadium, Karachi. Rawalpindi Rams fell 11 runs short of the target of 181 set by Sialkot Stallions.

Rawalpindi Rams openers provided a flying start; especially Awais Zia played a gem innings. He hit 5 boundaries in first over and smashed two sixes in the second over in his little cameo of 32 off 13 balls. He was trapped by Raza Hasan in third over of Rams’ innings which was a proof of an effective and timely strategy of Stallions’ skipper Shoaib Malik.

The other opener naved latif also played a good knock of 67 off 47; but couldn’t finish the match and lost his wicket to Naved Arif, who was smashed by Awais Zia in first over for five 4s. Umar Amin, the most consistent of the Rams’ batsmen in this tournament, couldn’t last long and fell to veteran Abdur Rehman after contributing just 11 off 10 balls.

Defending Champions Rawalpindi Rams Sailed Through to Semi-final Crushing Faisalabad

Defending T20 champions Rawalpindi Rams handed a shocking defeat to match favourites Faisalabad Wolves by 7 runs in a nail biting Group B match of Faysal Bank T20 Cup, here on National Stadium Karachi. 

Rawalpindi Rams Handed Shocking Defeat to Faisalabad Wolves

Rawalpindi Rams have now joined Lahore Eagles and Sialkot Stallions for the semi-finals of the tournament. The last semi-finalist will be the winner of the last match of today being played right now between Peshawar Panthers and hosts Karachi Dolphins. According to latest reports from field; Panthers have set a challenging total of 178 for the Afridi’s men.

Batting first Rawalpindi Rams set a target of 166 to win, while Faisalabad Wolves were restricted to 158-8 in 20 overs. They needed 25 to win in the final over and pace bowler Muhammad Talha smashed Muhammad Ramiz for one six and two boundaries and took a couple but was caught on the final delivery needing eight to win.

Faisalabad Wolves’ start was disastrous as both their openers fell for duck and soon they were reeling at 39 for five. Imran Khalid top-scored with 48 off 35 balls with the help of four boundaries and one six while Skipper Misbah-ul-Haq made a fearless 43 off 36 balls smashing three boundaries and one six but that didn’t proved sufficient to take Wolves past the target set by Rams.

Australia Vs. England (1st Twenty20) Live from Adelaide, Australia - - Australia Will Occupy The Ground as Favourites Despite Ashes Debacle (Live Streaming First T20)

Australia are considered favourites for the upcoming Twenty20 series, even after the Ashes debacle. 

Normally a Twenty20 international match is contested very closely; it does seem a slight surprise that Australia are favourites here; especially, when England have won their last 7 Twenty20 contests. Paul Collingwood captains the England side which includes Steven Davies, Luke Wright, Michael Lumb and Michael Yardy. They are rich in batting options and the kind of bowlers who can take the pace off the ball and strangle the game. Ian Bell returns, and he’s also been in excellent form.

With Michael Clarke abruptly quitting as Australian captain, there will be just three of the Ashes squad involved. Among those returning are Cameron White, as captain, and two very dangerous pace men in Shaun Tait and Brett Lee, while opener David Warner is a T20 specialist who can blast away quickly at the top of the order.

Pakistan Tours New Zealnd 2010-11 - - 3rd Twenty20: Pakistan Scraps New Zealand With 103 Runs, All-round Performance by Abdur Razzaq

Pakistan scraps black caps in the last Twenty20 at AMI Stadium, Christchurch. After giving up the series by losing first two T20’s; Pakistan fights back strongly to make an impression that the series will not be a butter cookie for New Zealand.

A convincing victory by 103 runs will certainly boost the confidence of the tourists which were going absolutely low after a streak of losses in two T20’s international and a warm-up T20 against Auckland. 

Black caps were outclassed comprehensively in batting, bowling and fielding. Pakistan team never look like short of spark in a totally controlled thriller. Impressive performances from batsmen to bowlers made Kiwi’s life difficult from start to finish. 

Shahid Afridi, leading from the front, claimed four wickets at the cost of just 14 runs and a brilliant strike to run out Dean Brownlie. Top four batsmen didn’t bother to disturb the scorers and gone back to pavilion with ducks. Scott Styris was the only Kiwi batsmen who showed some kind of resistance and struck quite quick 45 off 34 balls. Nathan McCullum was the second batsman to score a double figure other than Styris, with 10 off 10 balls.

Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first after a miserable result of the second Twenty20 international. Openers provided a good start of 81 runs in quite quick time. Youngster Ahmed Shahzad proved his selection fair with an impressive knock of 54 runsoff 34 balls. After Muhammad Hafeez, who scored 34 off 23, Pakistan had a bit hard time when three more wickets down for just adding 25 runs. Abdur Razzaq showed his class with a blistering knock of 34 off just 11 balls.

Abdur Razzaq was nominated for man-of-the-match with his all-round performance, as he claimed three wickets in his devastating attack.

Pakistan Vs. New Zealand; Second Twenty20 at Seddon Park, Hamilton - - Poor Show by Pakistan Bowlers As Pakistan Got A Stiff Target of 185 (Pakistan Innings Live Streaming)

Pakistan invited black caps for batting after winning the toss. First ball wicket of Jesse Ryder was a perfect start for Pakistan; which couldn't be capitalized due to a poor show in the bowling by almost every bowler. 

Other than Jesse Ryder every batsman played freely and exhibited superb timing and power to show the ball boudoir line every now and then. Martin Guptill continued his extravagant batting form and hit impressive 48 off just 28 balls. He was well supported by James Franklin who also scored 40 off 43 balls. Scott Styris and wicketkeeper batsman Peter McGlashan played extraordinary innings and scored 34 and 26 within no time. In fact, they just took 14 and 10 balls respectively for their runs with an amazing strike rate of 243 and 260.  

Skipper Ross Taylor again played a responsible innings of 30 runs off 21 balls; which helped New Zealand to achieve a huge target of 185/7. 

Pakistan has to show few extraordinary skill to get top of this target of 186 with an average of 9.26 per over. 

Saeed Ajmal took three wickets while Abdur Razzak, Shoaib Akhtar, Shahid Afridi and Wahab Riaz share one piece each. The most impressive was Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi by giving just 22 runs off his four overs. Wahab Riaz was also economical compares to the other bowler who were smashed by New Zea land batsmen all over the park.
