India v Australia, 6th ODI, Guwahati - - India Struggles to Overcome Top Order Collapse

50 overs India 170 (Jadeja 57, Praveen 54*, Bollinger 5-35) v Australia

Guwahati: Indian top order collapsed after electing to bat in the crucial sixth ODI against Australia at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here on Sunday.

Mitchell Johnson exploited the morning condition well, striking twice in the first over. Virender Sehwag was bowled for six runs in the fourth delivery, followed by Gautam Gambhir two balls later.

Sachin Tendulkar fell next, caught and bowled by Doug Bollinger for 10 in a soft dismissal. India were tottering at 23-3 while Bollinger struck again. Yuvraj Singh was the victim this time.

That brought Suresh Raina to the middle to join captain M S Dhoni. But India were looking clueless against a disciplined attack as the left-hander was sent packing in the next over, gifting Johnson his third wicket.

India need to win the game to stay alive in the seven-match series that they are already trailing 2-3. The hosts have retained the same side which lost the fifth game in Hyderabad despite a brilliant knock by Tendulkar.

Australia, meanwhile, have made just one change in their playing eleven, bringing in Mitchell Johnson in place of Ben Hilfenhaus.

Teams:

Australia: Ricky Ponting (C), Michael Hussey (VC), Doug Bollinger, Nathan Hauritz, Jon Holland, Mitchell Johnson, Shaun Marsh, Adam Voges, Shane Watson, Cameron White and Clint McKay.

India: Mahendra Singh Dhoni (C), Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh, Munaf Patel, Ashish Nehra, Praveen Kumar and Ravindra Jadeja.
