Hyderabad: He has proven it again. Sachin Tendulkar played wonderfully against the Australians on Thursday with a superb 175. However, India again lost the match which was so close.
This has been going on with the Indian team for quite some time. When they are at a crucial stage they just fall like a pack of cards.
There have been times when a Yuvraj or Dhoni have pulled the team back. An example for it is the century by Mahendra Singh Dhoni which had India cruising to a 99-run victory in the second One-dayer at Nagpur.
Similarly, in the third One-dayer at New Delhi, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh featured in a 148-run stand for the 4th wicket as India won by six wickets chasing a modest 230-run victory target. But this time even they failed to do so.
India has never shown the fighting spirit in such situations. On the other hand the Australians have always been ahead in it. Even if this series is considered the three matches that saw close finishes, India gave a miserable performance.
