Perth: In the first T20 match against Australia, the Sri Lankan team have managed to clinch the game by 7 wickets. It was the first T20 defeat for the Australians, which Sri Lanka have handed to them.
Randiv did the star turn when bowling with superb returns of 3 for 25, while Sangakkara ensured his team won comfortably with a valuable 44.
Suraj Randiv, who was declared the Man of the Match said after the game, “I am very happy with my performance. I got some good bounce here and that helped me.”
Earlier, in the game, Australia won the toss and elected to bat first at the flat wicket of Perth’s W.A.C.A. Ground. They set a score of 133 for the loss of 8 wickets in all 20 overs game.
But the Sri Lankan managed to score 135 for the loss of 3 wickets in only 16.3 overs game.
