Pakistan Vs. South Africa: Second Twenty20 - - SA in Control with 57/1 After Late Order Recovery of Pakistan

Abdul Razzaq and Misbah-ul-Haq came to Pakistan’s rescue with a partnership of 45 after South Africa had reduced the hosts to just 39-5 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

The pair’s crucial partnership help the home side reach 120-9 after South Africa had took control of the game by taking 5 early wickets.

In a repeat of last nights batting woes; Pakistan’s top order failed to fire as they slumped to a total of just 39-5 thanks to an impressive opening spell from Lonwabo Tsotsobe who picked up two wickets.

Razzaq (25) and Misbah-ul-Haq (33) came together in the 7th over and despite the precarious position the pair quickly took control of the game with Razzaq looking in ominous form smashing 2 massive sixes much to the delight of the crowd.

After such a poor start Pakistan were now on top but Proteas skipper Johan Botha hit back bringing Albie Morkel back into the attack to pick up the key wicket of Razzaq at the end of the 15th over to leave Pakistan 84-6.

Despite the loss Misbah-ul-Haq continued the counter attack by smashing Morne Morkel for 15 in the penultimate over to help the home side reach 120-9.

Having won the toss Shahid Afridi’s decision to bat first back fired after out of form opener Shahzaib Hasan (9) was dismissed in just the second over by Tsotsobe.

Mohammad Hafeez (14), Imran Farhat (9) and Umar Akmal (5) quickly followed before Rusty Theron picked up the big wicket of Afridi (3) to leave Pakistan on the verge of a total collapse.

Despite the lower order recovery by Pakistan, South Africa is playing confidently and seem totally in control after 50% quota of the 20 overs.
