16th Asian Games Vs. 15th Asian Games - - Fianl Medal Tally From A to Z: China on The Top Breaking Its Own Record After 20 Years, Iran, Kazakhstan and India Impress With 4th, 5th and 6th Position Respectively

Guangzhou, China's third-largest city, has for the past two weeks played host to more than 10,000 athletes from 45 countries and regions. That was hundreds more than the previous games, held in Doha, Qatar. Another 4,750 team officials descended on the city, organizers said, along with some 60,000 volunteers.

 

The Chinese athletes put on a dazzling display with the Olympics in Beijing, and now they've done it again in Guangzhou by dominating the Asian Games.

Medal Tally Comparison With 15th Asian Games:

If we compare the final medal tally and final position table standings with 15th Asian Games at Doha, Qatar; first three positions are unchanged with China on the top followed by South Korea and Japan, but China and South Korea improves number of gold medals while Japan was just slipped down a bit in terms of gold medals. 

Iran improves in terms of position and medal tally compared with Doha Asian Games. Jumped up to 4th position from number six at Doha; with impressive increase in number of Gold from 11 to 20.

India's gold spree in the last two days of the Asian Games was quite impressive that made the 6th position possible for India. India improves in terms of Medal Tally and Position Table as compared to 15th Asian Games, Doha Qatar; where India was placed at number eight with 10 Gold Medals. In 2010 India jumped to 6th position with 14 Golds out of total 64 Medals.
