Pakistan Tours New Zealnd 2010-11 - - New Zealand Named Uncapped Trio For Twenty20 Series Against Pakistan

In the absence of skipper Daniel Vettori and wicketkeeper Brendon McCullum, sue to back injury, New Zealand selection committee has decided to give chance to few youngster in the upcoming Twenty20 series against Pakistan.

Three uncapped players a named in the 14-member squad including batsman Dean Brownlie, 18-years old fast bowler Adam Milne and all-rounder Luke Woodcock will debut their international career.

According to Mark Greatbatch, "Dean Brownlie and Luke Woodcock have both enjoyed very good domestic form over the last couple of seasons and richly deserve their opportunity.

"Adam Milne is a promising young bowler and we are keen to give him some early exposure in international cricket. He is a young up-and-comer with the potential to have a big impact in international cricket for many years.

"Twenty20 is the ideal format for the new guys to get some international experience and exposure."

Wicketkeeping area is a bit vulnerable as no specialist keeper has been named as cover for Brendon McCullum, with long-term deputy Gareth Hopkins having seemingly fallen out of favour - Brownlie's Canterbury team-mate Reece Young will take the gloves for the two Tests which follow the T20 series.
