Belgian tennis star Kim Clijsters, who won the third of her three US Open titles last year, sets a clash against Russian Vera Zvonareva in the semi-finals of the Australian Open.
In the first quarter final of Wednesday Vera Zvonareva outclassed her Czech opponent 25th seeded Petra Kvitova with 6-2 6-4; while the Belgian excelled over 12th seeded Poland's Agnieszka Radwanska 6-3 7-6.
Having made her fifth Australian Open semi-finals, Clijsters looks well-placed to claim her fourth Grand Slam title as the only previous winner of a major tournament left in the women's draw.
Zvonareva- Clijsters semi-final might be the sequel of last year's US Open final.
