IPOH, Malaysia (May 11, 2011) - - Pakistan outclassed arch-rivals India by 3-1 in a crucial match of Sultan Azlan Shah Hockey Tournament here on Wednesday.
Pakistan came from behind when they equalized in the 49th minute after India had took the lead in the first half.
The only goal for India came from Rupinder Pal Singh; while Umar Bhutta, Mohammad Imran and Sohail Abbas scored a goal each for Pakistan to take Green shirts to a morale booster victory.
Pakistan started off the tournament quite positively, authorizing victories over New Zealand (4-2) and South Korea (4-2). However, that was followed by losses to Great Britain 3-2 and Australia 5-1.
Pakistan now got a good chance to qualify for final.
