PM Yousuf Raza Gilani Hails Indo-Pak Duo for Winning Gerry Webber Doubles Title

ISLAMABAD (Jun 13) – Pakistani tennis star Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi with his Indian partner Rohan Bopanna  on Sunday won the final of Gerry Weber double event tennis tournament played in Halle, Germany.  

This is their first title of the season in which they beat Dutch-Canadian combination of Robin Haase and Milos Raonic 7-6 (8), 3-6, 11-9

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani extended his warm wishes to Qureshi and his Indian partner Rohan Bupona for winning the doubles event of Gerry Weber Tennis Tournament.

Prime Minister Gilani, in his message of appreciation to the both tennis players, admired their excellent performance and brilliant sportsmanship shown throughout the tournament which brought magnificent victory for their countries. 

He said that the whole nation is proud of this tremendous success and wished the players bright future.
