Press Conference by Shahid Afridi at Karachi Press Club |
KARACHI (June 06) – Breaking News: Shahid Afridi, former ODI captain of Pakistan cricket team, attended a press conference at Karachi Press Club to clarify the issues and conflicts with Pakistan cricket Board (PCB). His team of lawyers was also present there to reply the queries of the media related to legal point of view.
Following are the points Shahid Afridi mentioned replying to the questions of media persons:
1. I need justice, nothing else.
2. The inquiry process of PCB Committee, formed to probe the issue, is still under ambiguity.
3. I didn’t receive any notification or letters from PCB regarding my removal from captaincy and I came to know through media only; therefore, I also used media to announce my retirement and didn’t make it black and white.
4. I need justice and my N.O.C to be restored.
5. I don’t want my issue to be politicized.
6. I want the conflicting issues to be removed so that cricketers can focus the game.
7. I don’t have any problem to play cricket under any captain, even my juniors. I’ve played already under my junior colleagues, this is not a issue. I just object the way PCB is treating the players and hurting their egoes.
8. I meet Bilawal Zardari coincidentally in London and he also assures the support as he knew the most of the situation
