Petra Kvitova won her maiden Grand Slam title yesterday (Saturday/July 2) when she outplayed veteran Russian opponent Maria Sharapova in straight sets. She will climb up a step in WTA ranking and will be placed at No. 7 in WTA ranking to be issued on Monday (July 4).
