After long time of more than eight years Cesc Fabregas is set to rejoin his boyhood club FC Barcelona which he left when he was just 16.

Reportedly, Arsenal and Barcelona have confirmed that the deal, expected to be worth between 36 million and 40 million euros, has already been finalized.

The statement regarding the issue can be read on the official website of Arsenal stating, "Arsenal announces today that they have reached an agreement in principle with Barcelona for Cesc Fabregas to move to Spain".

Confirming the news FC Barcelona stated that preliminary agreement between Arsenal and FC Barcelona was likely to be signed on Monday after the medical check up of Fabregas and then he will be free to move to Spain.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger hailed the contribution of Csec Fabregas towards the success of their club and wished him future success. He told that although they didn't want to leave Fabregas but looking at the desire of the player to return to his hometown, we accepted the offer from Barcelona.
