LONDON – Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere services will not be available for the club for at least 4-5 months after been gone through surgery of his ankle, club sources have confirmed.

The official website of Arsenal have stated that it was a successful surgery but have hinted that the England star wouldn’t be seen in action until at least January next year as he suffers a long-standing period of treatment.
"Jack Wilshere has this morning undergone ankle surgery at a central London hospital. The initial indications are that the surgery has been successful and Jack will now undergo a prolonged period of rehabilitation. It is envisaged that Jack’s rehabilitation will take a period of four to five months," read a statement.
Jack Wilshere, who sustained the ankle injury in a pre-season outing against New York Red Bulls, told that his ankle is feeling painful but that he is already hopeful to get back in action very soon.
