Heavy rain in Auckland forced Champions Trophy organizers to postpone all matches on Sunday (Dec. 04)

AUCKLAND, New Zealand (Dec. 04) – On the second day of the Champions Trophy Hockey Tournament in Auckland, four matches were scheduled to be played today (Sunday, Dec. 04); but organizers has to postpone all the matches due to heavy rain at North Harbour Hockey Stadium.

Rain started early in the morning forced organizers initially to delay the opening match of the day between Great Britain and Australia in the hope it might halt but have since decided to postpone all matches until tomorrow (Monday, Dec. 05). As per tournament schedule; Monday was reserved as a rest day and no match was scheduled accordingly.

Pakistan was due to face Spain in their must-win match of the tournament. Pakistan has lost their first match 2-1 to Great Britain on Saturday; while Spain has lost first match 2-1 to defending champions Australia.

Now following matches will be played tomorrow’s (Sunday, Dec. 04):

• Match No. 1
Netherlands v Germany (Pool B) on 12:05 (Local Time) at Auckland.
• Match No. 2
S Korea v New Zealand (Pool B) on 14:05 (Local Time) at Auckland.
• Match No. 3
AU.S.tralia v Great Britain (Pool A) on 16:05 (Local Time) at Auckland.
• Match No. 4
Spain v Pakistan (Pool A) on 18:05 (Local Time) at Auckland.

All matches will be broadcasted on Ten Sports.
