2nd Test: India Vs. Sri Lanka At Kanpur - - India Piled Up 417 on Opening Day With Tons From Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag

Kanpur, Nov.23 - - India vs. Sri Lanka second test match in Kanpur started on November 24 at the scheduled time and the Indian team decided to bat after winning the toss. The Indian batting line up which could not do well in the One Day International Series against the Australian team, has reformed themselves and in the second test match against Sri Lanka they are heading for a huge score. The first test match ended in draw and both the teams will make an extra attempt to win the second test match.


According to the latest updates of the India Vs. Srilanka second test match, ninety overs of Day I have been bowled and the Indian team has scored 417 runs after losing two wickets. Opening batsmen of the team, Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag were dismissed on the ball of Sri Lankan spinner Muralitharan. Sehwag scored 131 runs and Gambhir scored 167 runs for the Indian innings, before they left the field.

Rahul Dravid, one of the veteran batsman of Indian cricket team is in the test squad. At present, this dependable player of Indian team is on the field with ‘masterblaster’ Sachin Tendulkar. Dravid is moving for one more century and is batting at 85 runs. Sachin Tendulkar has scored 20 runs so far and it is expected that he will add more runs to the Indian score board.

Indian team has good record on the Kanpur ground and it is expected that they will also fare well in this match. The team has made only two changes from the first test against Sri Lanka. Pragyan Ojha has replaced Amit Mishra and Sreesanth is back in the team after several matches.
