Mumbai: West Indian hammering batsman Kieron Pollard has priced at the top during auction of players for third edition of IPL 2010.
Industrialist Mukesh Ambani-owned Mumbai Indian bought West Indies batsman Kieron Pollard for USD 750,000. 00.The bid was tied at maximum prize money among four franchise owners KKR, Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore. At the end, it was Mumbai Indian who finally managed to bag Pollard.
New Zealand fast bowler Shane Bond, who returned from rebel league ICL, also recived maximum money at IPL Auction. Kolkata Knight Rider bought Bond for USD 750,000.00
Pollard was favorite for this year�s auction and he managed to top the price.
On the other hand, Pakistan all-rounder and T20 skipper Shahid Afridi was not sold in the first round of IPL3 auction.
Delhi Daredevils bagged South African speedster Wayne Parnell for USD 610 ,000.00
Right now; the auction is underway for IPL3 at a Mumbai hotel.
