German Tennis Star Suffers Six-Months-Exit From Tennis Courts Due to Hip Surgery


After done with the surgery on his right hip, Germany's Tommy Haas could miss the tennis court for six months. Haas, had been operated last Friday in Vail, Colorado. On the present state-of-affairs, Haas quoted on his website that he had no other alternative, as the pain was simply too great.

Currently, world number 18, Tommy Haas reached the semi-finals of the 2009 Wimbledon. He also shot up in the rankings and made it to number two in 2002, but since than his career hit the low due to injuries.

On further developments, Haas's agent Lars Schriewer said that "Tommy has been operated upon by the best doctor in this field. He is in the best of hands. Everything else remains to be seen."
