The season opener of IPL will see the holders Deccan Chargers and SRK’s Kolkata Knight Riders locking horns with each others. Both the teams has some powerful names in their line-up but obviously Deccan being the defending champions will surely have the upper hand.
Talking about both the teams Deccan has Batsman who can fire from all corners and that includes the name of their Captain and Wicket Keeper Adam Gilchrist, Herschelle Gibbs and Dwayne Smith and how can one forget Rohit Sharma and Andrew Symonds who is a nightmare for all of his opponents. All-rounder Ryan Harris and Venugopal Rao will provide the all-round performance for his team with Indian recruits Anirudh Singh, Suman, Monish Mishra and Dwarka Ravi in the squad.

But KKR can surely cash in through their batting order that will be missing Chris Gayle but the names of Brendon McCullum, Sourav Ganguly, David Hussey, Laxmi Ratan Shukla and Brad Hodge will play a key role for their team’s performance today. Wicket Keeper Wriddhiman Saha will be the dark horse of the match.
KKR has been a failure in both the departments most of time and today is perhaps the day when they can change everything by starting their campaign like the opening season where McCullum’s fiery knock helped the team to win the encounter against Royal Challengers with a big margin.
