Australia bowled out for 268, and England faced 12 overs to finish the day at 29 for no loss.
Many questions are being raised on the recent performance by Australia and it is thought that the Australian cricket team, already one down against England, is in generational decline. On the other hand, Veteran Australian batsman Michael Hussey, who again played the role of middle-order savour with a defiant 61, denied that Australia had been backed into a corner.
