Pakistan in New Zealand, 2010-11
Seddon Park, Hamilton
February 3, 2011

Hamilton, New Zealand – (5th ODI) Pakistan set a target of 268 runs in their allotted 50 overs quota; leaving a target of 269 runs with 5.40 runs per over for New Zealand to level the series.

Pakistan batting line-up again trembles except rampant youngster Ahmed Shahzad who defied Kiwi bowlers in the way to his maiden century.

All other batsmen from veteran Younis Khan and Misbah-ul-Haq to Shahid Afridi and Abdul Razzaq got the starts but unable to make it big. Younis Khan, Misbah-ul-Haq, and Shahid Afridi fell in the twenties trying to slog and smash hard.

New Zealand bowlers bowled intelligently to exploit the weaknesses in the Pakistani batting lines-up. Their fielders support them all along catching in the out-filed and forcing nervous batsmen to run-out. Akmal brothers were the victims of their silly running rather than extraordinary fielding efforts from Kiwi’s.

Kyle Mills, Jacob Oram and Scott Styris took two wickets each; while Nathan McCullum picked up one wicket.
