Maybe it's the new haircut, but one male tennis fan found Rafael Nadal so irresistable that he stormed the court at the 2009 US Open and tried to kiss him. The Rafael Nadal Kiss occurred after the Spanish star defeated Gael Monfils. At the end of the match, the smitten fan ran out of the stands and approached Nadal. Security quickly intervened, but not berfore the fan got close to his favorite tennis player.
The man responsible for the Rafael Nadal kiss was arrested for interfering with a sporting event.
The Nadal kissing incident was the latest security problem at a Grand Slam Tournament this year. During the 2009 French Open, a fan jumped onto the court during the Men's Final and tried to put a hat on Roger Federer's head.
"For me, it wasn't a problem," Nadal said. "The guy was really nice. "He was a great fan. He said, "I love you," and he kissed me. "
