DOHA, Jan. 5 -- Two-time winner Roger Federer and second seed Rafael Nadal both cruised into the second round of the Qatar Open tennis tournament with straight-sets wins on Tuesday.
Top seed Federer, the 2005-06 titlist, cruised past world No. 86Christophe Rochus of Belgium 6-1, 6-2 in 58 minutes, while Nadal, ranked No.2, beat Simone Bolelli of Italy 6-3, 6-3.

"I thought my moving was explosive and nice," said Federer. "I was happy with the way I felt out there. It wasn't as cold as last year so this was more comfortable to play in and I was overall very happy with the way I played."
Second seed Nadal, a winner of five tour-level titles including the Australian Open last year, won 72 percent of service points and save all three break points for victory in 89 minutes.
"I am playing well," said Nadal. "Today is a good win against Bolelli. He is never an easy player to play against."
World No. 6 Nikolay Davydenko joined Federer and Nadal in the second round as he sailed past Kazak Mikhail Kukushkin 6-2, 6-0.
