India is sailing along to an easy victory in the second ODI at the end of 40 overs of their innings. India is very well placed at 240/2.
Chasing a target of 259; Indian openers provided a relatively good start of 87 runs when Murali Vijay failed to play Vettori’s delivery that bang on his stamps. But the brilliant innings by Captain Gautam Gambhir and 1st ODI centurion Virat Kohli negated the hopes of black caps victory. Gautam Gambhir made his eights century in the process and playing even more freely after having a ton under his belt. Presently he is playing on 130 off 106 balls, smashing 18 boundaries, along with Yuvraj Singh who came to bat after Virat Kohli innings ended on the total score of 203. He made brilliant 64 off 73 balls. Captain Gambhir now to finish it as soon as possible and Kiwi bowlers are being punished in the process.
Earlier India won the toss and elected to field in th Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. Fast bowler Shanthakumaran Sreesanth grabbed four wickets as India kept New Zealand down to 258-8 in the second one-day international in Jaipur on Wednesday.

Nathan McCullum prevented a hat-trick as New Zealand recovered from a middle-order slump to smash 88 runs in the last 11 overs.
