Vodafone Ashes Series 2010-11 - - 2nd Test (Day 1) Live Streaming: Three in Three Just for Two, Austalia 159/5 Struggling at Tea

If I would ask you, in context with the second Ashes Test at Adelaide, to fill in the blanks in the following sentence:

Three ___________ in three _______________ just for two ______________.

No one, who know the abc of cricket would be able to fill in these blanks with the proper words; especially the Australian fan.

Yes, it sound impossible but it’s happening in Adelaide, where the second test started with a bang, completing the sense of above sentence as:

Three WICKETS in three OVERS just for two RUNS.

This is the start of Australian innings in the second test at Adelaide. One more interesting point to be discussed here that Australian opener Simon Katich out without disturbing the scorers at all. What? It doesn’t sounds like any thing interesting, right..?? But what if I would tell you Simon Katich lost his wicket without even disturbing the bowlers.

Australia is 159/9 at Tea on the first day’s play. It was too late for Australia when the Big Michael Hussey came to rescue Australia. Three big wickets for James Anderson put English right in front from the very first day to dictate the terms of the second test; until and unless a cricketing miracle happens to save Australia. Michael Hussey is playing on 71 with Brad Haddin on 3 just came to crease after Marcus North threw his wicket just before Tea Break.

Earlier England made a dramatic penetration in the first three overs of the second Ashes test on Friday, dismissing Simon Katich, Ricky Ponting and Michael Clarke to leave Australia struggling at 2-3.

Simon Katich, who did not face a delivery, was run out on the fourth ball by a direct hit by Jonathan Trott after his opening partner Shane Watson had set off for a single without him.

On the very next ball captain Ricky Ponting was caught in the slips by Graeme Swann off the bowling of James Anderson for a golden duck and the same duo got in action in the same fashion to get rid of Clarke for two in the third over.

The Adelaide Oval is usually a batting-friendly wicket and huge first-innings totals are the norm.
