Doha, Qatar - - Japan’s dream to become Asian champion struck a huge blow just ahead of final clash against Australia; when their best midfielder Shinji Kagawa has to leave the team due to his broken foot.
The 21-year-old Kagawa sustained the injury during the semifinal clash against South Korea on Tuesday. According to sources, scans at a hospital revealed that he broke a right metatarsal bone. He left for Germany from Doha via Switzerland.
Japan will take on Australia in the final of Asian Cup on Saturday and definitely going to miss Kagawa’s brilliance.
