AL AIN, UAE - UAE overcome Lebanon 6-2 late on Sunday night at Khalifa Stadium in Al Ain as they gear up for the World Cup qualifier against India on Thursday (Saturday/July 17).
The goal margin with which UAE thrashed Lebanon is not the only thing that made this match unforgettable for soccer fans but this match will be remembered for long due to the craziest ever backheel penalty shootout taken by UAE midfielder Awana Diab (Theyab Awana) in 78th minute of the match.
Soccer fanatics and followers of the sport have termed Diab's penalty kick as the ' best ever strike into the goal post', The Daily Mail reports.
The 21-year-old Diab ran up like any other spot-kick but just moments before he was about to make contact he quickly spun around and took the penalty backwards leaving the goalkeeper stunned and wrong footed just watching the ball going into nets.
