In a very crucial must-win game against England; Pakistani hockey team failed to make an impact in the first half of the match.
European champion England controlled the game totally and they were looking very very composed in their efforts to attack the Pakistani pole. Only after three minutes Pakistan got a penalty corner that was converted into second goal for Pakistan; but England team opted to go for a referral and after quite a some time the review umpire confirmed the goal. In the process English defender injured and taken out of the game. At last at 48th minute of the match Pakistan leveled the match again on 2-2.
